Fiegl, wine beyond borders
Fiegl means family and respect. It all began in 1782 with the sale of the first vineyard "Meja," which in Slovenian means "border." Today, there are seven of us running the company: fathers and sons who look to the past, only to interpret the present. Wine is our way of communicating, the oldest social network that exists: the one that can cross all borders, even in time.
Winemakers since 1782
To enhance the uniqueness of our land, we carefully work all our vineyards because we are deeply convinced that this isthe only way to fully express the potential of our wines.

Oslavia, the island that exists
Here in Oslavia, we can’t help but talk about the territory. For three reasons: the location 200 meters from the Slovenian border; the history – after World War I, we went from being the farthest south of the Austrian Empire to being the farthest north of Italy – ; the ponca, the particular terrain with sandstone and marl layers of Eocene origin that characterizes Friuli-Venezia Giulia and the Collio area.
These are the reasons why we like to call Oslavia “the island that exists” and that we want to bring you to discover, through the beauty of its landscapes and the purity of its wines.
In 2010, we founded the Oslavia Ribolla Producers Association: 7 wineries that work in synergy and collaborate to protect the biodiversity, stories, and people of the territory. For us, the border is not what divides, protects, and defends, but what embraces and distinguishes, without separating. It’s not a limitation, but an opportunity we seize every day.
